Huawei even seems to position it as an alternative to the Apple Watch Ultra, but at only 279 euros, just over 300 dollars, which is about a third the price of the actual Apple Watch Ultra. The Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro does feel more premium then the normal Apple Watch, so in some way the comparison to the Apple Watch Ultra makes sense. It is a lot smaller than the Apple Watch Ultra though, which is a positive in my book. In this video we will do initial scientific and systematic testing of the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro. Because, even though it superficially looks and feels like a premium watch, I want to know if it is any good at sports and health tracking. Can it track your runs and rides accurately, what about the heart rate and the sleep stage tracking, are those any good? For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Rob and I am a postdoctoral scientist specializing in biological data analysis. To be clear, Huawei is releasing two models at the same time, the regular Watch Fit 4 and the Watch Fit 4 Pro. I’ve been testing the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro prior to its official release. I want to focus in detail on the Pro model, but I’ll also be highlighting the main differences between the Watch Fit 4 Pro and the regular Watch Fit 4, so you have clear context for how these models compare within the same lineup. The screen size and general form-factor are the same on both the standard and Pro versions, sporting a 1.82-inch AMOLED display. The first set of important differences comes down to materials and build quality. The Watch Fit 4 Pro uses aerospace-grade aluminum for its body, features a titanium alloy bezel around the display, and covers the front with sapphire glass. These upgrades are aimed at increasing durability and offering a premium finish. The standard Watch Fit 4 uses a glass and aluminum frame instead, but weighs less.
