The McDonnell Douglas DC-8 is one of the very first jet airliners ever developed back in the 1950s. Thanks to its sturdy construction and a re-engine program in the 1980s, a very select few have continued to fly up until the present day. One of those is N782SP, a DC-8-72 operated by Christian humanitarian relief organization Samaritan's Purse. However, it's slated to be retired by the end of this year.
