I Tried Minecraft on the Slowest CPUs I Own?! Slowest CPU tests always reveal the true limits of hardware, and this time I decided to push things to the extreme. I gathered every ancient processor I could find — chips barely strong enough to open a browser — and wanted to see how each Slowest CPU handled Minecraft. The results were hilarious, painful, and surprisingly educational. When I installed the first Slowest CPU, Minecraft took nearly five minutes just to reach the main menu. Chunks loaded like molasses, and every movement felt like a slideshow. Still, the Slowest CPU technically ran the game, even if it was only at 10 FPS. Moving on to the next Slowest CPU, performance improved slightly, but frame drops and stutters made mining blocks feel like a turn-based strategy game. It wasn’t until the third Slowest CPU that things became somewhat playable. Even then, render distance had to be set to the absolute minimum.
