I camped two nights in Berg-en-Dal and another two at Lower Sabie, and in that short period of time in the Kruger National Par, I saw lions, leopard, cheetah, rhino, elephant, buffalo and even a pack of African wild dogs that I had all to myself. Most surprising, though, was how much I enjoyed driving the little panel van - it's nippy and very comfortable, and perfectly kitted with everything you need to camp comfortably in the Kruger National Park. I literally only had to bring my own clothes, toiletries and food. And these days, you can actually buy the latter in the park shops, which are very well-stocked. If you're a foreigner looking to camp in the Kruger National Park, or a local that doesn't want to drive all the way up to the park, I can honestly say - this is the way to do it!
