Video Description

Join Wings Over the Rockies Curator Stewart Bailey as we welcome a new addition to the museum’s collection: the AV-8B Harrier II+. This British subsonic, short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) light attack aircraft, known as the “Jump Jet”, is one of the most unique planes ever built. We'll meet a former Harrier pilot who flew the jet for its final flight, learn what components are removed or modified during the demilitarization process, and follow the Harrier’s journey through the streets of Denver to its new home. This one is going to be cool! Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum: https://wingsmuseum.org Behind the Wings Podcast: https://wingsmuseum.org/resources/podcasts
