That is true, but it’s just one function of pitch accent. There's more to it than that. By learning more about this, you can gain a detailed understanding of pitch accent, and then make an informed decision about whether it’s worth it for you to study. If you do decide you would like to learn it, the learning methods I will mention aren't difficult. This video is not about the rules and patterns of pitch accent.
