Is Apple’s $130 Apple Pencil Pro ACTUALLY Worth It? I upgraded to Apple’s new(er) Apple Pencil Pro, for my iPad Mini 7. I was using this $10 “Stylus Pencil Painting/ Office/ Note-Taking Proficient in Everything” knock-off Apple Pencil clone from Amazon #amazonfinds (and honestly, it was really good). But, for $120 more than the knock-off, I picked up the Apple Pencil Pro to see what the fuss was about. It works with the iPad Mini 7, the new iPad Air M3, and the M4 iPad Pro’s. It charges magnetically (unlike the fake one), shows battery-indicator, has the “barrel-roll” feature, to get different styles and strokes with certain brushes - allows for the Find My network, so you can locate it when you’ve misplaced it, and it has the “squeeze” function so you’re able to change tools in a pinch (literally). The cheap one doesn’t have all these luxuries, but it’s also 13X less expensive, and to be honest, they’re just that - luxuries. But I do like the convenience the Apple Pencil Pro provides me with. So I’m definitely going to be keeping it, and using it with my iPad Mini.
