A week in Japan: Tokyo go karts, JDM car meet, crazy shops, huge car auctions and the world’s largest Katsu curry In this week’s video diary we bring you news from the Far East. James and Jon have been in Japan to try and buy some cars at the world’s largest car auctions - but they’ve been rather busy enjoying the mad Tokyo sights too. While Joe was running the Clever Car Collection back in Gosport, our Tokyo branch was busy exploring some of the crazy shops, JDM car meets and sushi bars the city had to offer. Also in this video, the pair get a tour of the Cornes Bentley dealership that’s been representing the luxury car brand for more than 60 years in Japan, have a poke around its sister Ferrari showroom and take a Continental GT to Mount Fuji. They promise us they have been working really… There will be a proper video on the incredible car auctions on the @CarDealerMagazine channel very soon. In fact, there will be more than one. But for this week’s update, here’s all the stuff that wouldn’t go in any of those. The pair apologise it’s more travel diary than car sales diary, but they hope you still enjoy the Katsu curry mistakes, sushi marathon and drive around Tokyo in go karts with James dressed as Pikachu all the same.
