Video Description
In this one-hour program, David examines, discusses and paints a study of Turner’s beautiful "View of Venice: The Ducal Palace, Dogana and Part of San Giorgio," painted in 1841. He is not trying to copy the painting but is examining and demonstrating several different techniques that Turner used to paint luminous skies and water in the Venetian landscape. Using techniques of the old masters as well as contemporary methods, David brings you a wealth of information, demonstrations, encouragement, tips, and insights in program. Learn new methods to dramatically improve your eye, your composition, painting and your landscapes. His infectious enthusiasm and multi-disciplinary perspective combining art, history, philosophy, science and technique will provide a unique workshop experience for you - and offer you new ideas and compositions for your paintings!
