The inspiration for my new Retrofuture Astra Militarum army comes from old issues of science and technology magazines from the first half of the 20th Century. They portray utterly mad imaginations of near future vehicles (or, you might say retrofuture) juxtaposed against contemporary military soldiers… how very Warhammer 40,000.
