Two people have been arrested after a stabbing spree on a London-bound train that left multiple people injured. Armed police were deployed to Huntingdon station in Cambridgeshire on Saturday evening following reports that passengers were being attacked. Several people have been taken to hospital, police confirmed. The incident began shortly after the LNER train left Peterborough station at about 7.30pm. The first 999 call was received by Cambridgeshire police nine minutes later and more than 30 officers were sent to the scene. People hid in the lavatories to escape the attack and some were getting “stamped [on] by others” as they tried to run. “I heard some people shouting we love [you],” the witness said.
