JetsunmaTenzin Palmo taught at the K J Somaiya Centre for Buddhist Studies on 18th November, 2015. She taught from a lojong text, part of a corpus of texts in the Tibetan tradition that are used to guide the practitioner through the method aspect of path, and ultimately to the realisation of liberating wisdom. Jetsunma's own rigorous practice over 12 years in a cave in the Lahaul-Spiti region and her continuing engagement with establishment of a nunnery and with forums that address gender biases in the Buddhist tradition, make her a particularly powerful speaker: steeped in tradition and yet profoundly relevant in modern times.
