Today we have José's 1950's 18K gold Exim chronograph on the bench, a lovely old watch with a major issue; the bezel is missing! The watch belonged to José's father, and at some point the bezel came off, as is unfortunately not uncommon in watches with these very thin cases. The last person working on the watch "fixed it" by placing an oversized crystal over the dial, but while that might be good for a "there, I fixed it" meme, it's not a proper solution. So what can we do about it?
