About

G'day everyone. Here on the Artisan Makes channel I create home machine shop videos. With a small workshop and modest equipment, I will show that almost anything can be made with an import lathe, and a small milling machine. I hope you learn something new and enjoy your time here. Video Description

G'day everyone, A project I have wanted to do for a long time is to build a jewelers hand vise, so I can hold small stock. This will be very useful when sanding it with the disk sander. It is a project I have been wanting to do since I saw a video on the topic by Adam Savage (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrYrcJTv4H4&t=158s) They are a very beautifully designed clamp style and I thought it would be a cool challenge to build. In this video I will also try and turn by lathe into a makeshift disk sander, to sand the parts down to final size. I hope you enjoy the video.
