When I realized this Vacheron & Constantin pocket watch needed a new balance staff, my first reaction was to order a new one. I am no stranger to staff replacements, but panic set in when I began to realize that no one was selling the staff I needed. Making a balance staff is considered one of the toughest jobs as a watchmaker and, as a hobbyist, I had my doubts whether I had the skills to make one myself. It took me a couple attempts, but I finally did it!
