Mastery Games, and Why I Play Them

Heyhihello! Let me be frank with y'all, the current state of things in the news (I say current as if it hasn't been almost a full year running) has been getting me down, so I've receeded into my shell to play some of my comfort titles. I have taken to calling these "mastery games" thanks to their difficulty, and loads of content that you can dig at for hours. The pitch being: spend 15 dollars on an indie title that you could not HOPE to beat for tens, hundreds, THOUSANDS of hours! That draws me in, and has been my port in the storm of late. (I will also talk about my feelings on the state of things currently, mostly from the perspective of Live Service games, but that's later, don't worry about it). Hope you enjoy!!
