January 2025 SFF build --- Missing test scenario: rear fans as intake, CPU cooler direction to the front. Sorry, I just realized while I was almost finished editing. --- Re: Screw Reduction: Mechanic Master could’ve easily reduced the screws to 2 on each side and instead have the screws at the rear rather than directly on the side panels like other cases. They could also use just 1 screw for the PCIe cover, again like other cases. Although the majority of the screws here come from the top and bottom, which account for 18 screws, this is done to maintain the aesthetics of the case. The top panel could’ve been optimized to use at most 5 screws—2 screws at the rear and another clamp. Additionally, the top panel could be further secured by utilizing the handle, which has 4 screws. The bottom could’ve been optimized to use at most 4 screws—1 at the rear of the bottom panel and a clamp, similar to the NR200P’s design. This setup would maintain the modular feet but would not require removal when maintaining the case. We also don’t need separate panels at the bottom since no one can see them anyway. This would simplify the design and reduce the number of screws further.
