Video Description

From Wednesday night into the early hours of Thursday, Israeli forces stormed the Global Sumud Flotilla - a historic civilian mission carrying 300 tonnes of food and medicine for Gaza’s starving population. Forty-five boats, nearly 500 participants from 46 countries, were intercepted at sea. Live footage shows warships blasting the vessels with lights and water before soldiers boarded, detaining doctors, aid workers, and activists. None - for now - have reached Gaza. Israel has now began the process to deport the activists seized from Gaza flotilla. MEE was sent the last messages recorded by some participants before their interception, highlighting the human voices behind this act of global solidarity. Support stories that matter.
