It was making an odd noise on start up and a strange groaning noise when pulling away. I took the car to my trusted Porsche tech Matt Barnett at Rennworks in Stevenage. Thing is we ended up going down a bit of a rabbit hole of investigating faults, sorting the IMS bearing and RMS plus doing some upgrades courtesy of @design-911 and @EBCBrakesUK . Then for reasons you'll see I had to enlist the help of Ed from Ed's Car Care to fix something else on the car. And just when I thought everything was sorted... something else went wrong.
