We’ve got Mat in the new Ford Ranger, and he’s going up against Yianni in a Toyota Hilux! So let’s see how they compare. Starting with the new Ford Ranger, it’s powered by a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel, that can produce 205hp and 500Nm of torque. It comes with a switchable AWD system as well as a locking rear differential. It weighs in at around 2,400kg, and it costs from £39,000. Next up it’s the Hilux. This is equipped with a 2.8-litre turbo Diesel engine that can put down 204hp and 420Nm. It also comes with some off-road capabilities, including a locking rear differential. It’s lighter than the Ford, at 2,100kg, but it’s also a bit more expensive, at £44,000. So what do you think - will Yianni win his first off-road battle?
