But they are still trying to figure out who plays which roll and with this watch, each is still sort of being a ball hog. These are just growing pains though and I think this is a fantastic combination of Google’s foundation and network, combined with Samsung’s features and hardware $349 - $379 for different sizes PHYSICAL DESIGN Amazing aesthetic that perfectly masks the bezels with mechanical ones Large colorful display - 1.4” Super AMOLED 450x450px Slightly larger than Watch4 - at 46mm with 20mm strap Battery lasts almost two days 5ATM/IP68 water resistance Default watch strap is odd for small wrists Also, why would this ship with a silicone strap??? Should be leather default AOD Haptics feel nice MIC & SPEAKER TEST INTERNALS Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC for Samsung Pay 1.5GB RAM 16GB storage INTERFACE WearOS Powered by Samsung? Tizen and WearOS together * INTERFACE TOUR Your old apps and watch faces will not transfer Switch back/between apps (or double press top button to toggle) Customize buttons however you like! Now you can access Google apps like Fit, Pay, Keep, Maps, YT, Messages Currently Bixby and Samsung Pay Easily install apps directly from your phone “Google Assistant Coming Soon” - don’t bank on it Gestures: shake twice to answer a call, rotate twice to decline Music controls auto open just like WearOS did Offline Spotify! Bedtime mode and underwater mode Reply to notifications with keyboard, speech, or handwriting BIXBY TEST HEALTH TRACKING AND ACCURACY Sleep tracking HR GPS Does not show a start for the first 100 yards - ½ mile but the distance is typically reasonably accurate. Certainly not leading the pack though Plenty of wandering off the trail Overall disappointing maps. Works well enough, but not reliable for races Advanced running metrics Asymmetry, contact time, flight time, regularity, etc. Blood oxygen Stress Three heart rings - Steps, calories, and active minutes Blood pressure and ECG Syncs with a phone to track snoring? Body composition measurement “98% correlation with DXA measurements” False! Mine ranged from 13% to about 18% body fat - also skeletal muscle... CONS: * Cannot handle WAV audio files * Silicone strap? * Body composition is not accurate (my body fat ranged from 13% to 18% and it said I have too much muscle) * Body composition measurement is awkward when worn on your right wrist * Watch was snappy, but once I restarted it, it became EXTREMELY laggy and remained laggy until about 5 minutes after turning it on.
