Video Description

Hi for everyone! This is full version of my project Giant Router Sled. So after working for half a year, I made the following conclusions: the design is quite strong, but the drawback is that the 2.2 kW spindle was not powerful enough. I would recommend 3-4 kW. It's big upgrade for my woodworking workshop. Anyone who has been with me for a long time knows that I love strong and reliable designs. I had the welding done by professional welders because I don't have the proper equipment. The transition plates that connect the Y and Z axes were made for me from 6 mm steel on a CNC plasma table. So now I can to process a detail with a size of 3300x1300x200mm. This machine efficiently surfaces and flattens wood slabs, boards, cookies, and other material with minimal labor and time. Compared to a jointer-planer, the flattens wider and thicker material. The machine can also be used as a calibration and grinding machine. I'm also thinking about fixing the X-axis. If I see a need for this in the workflow, I will add this feature and share the result. My previous Adjustable Router Sled ( https://youtu.be/bUPfbwCBAgQ?si=Q_fKp3CoUs9VGmAW ) that I made 5 years ago takes a long time to set up. ▶ Instagram: / mr.vereshchak ▶ My email: [email protected] ▶ Previous videos - https://youtu.be/1UvHbeFt-qA?si=HA0zj07YlYpmJZjD To support my channel - PayPal: [email protected] #Routersled #woodworking #router #Flattening Wood
