What this product does is protect your AM5 CPU From thermal paste spilling over the sides so where as you can buy a AM5 Secure Frame Which does the same thing. But with the AM5 Secure Frames you have to remove the stock AM5 Retention bracket which comes with problems where as you could damage your CPU if you was to drop it. So this product from Noctua allows you to keep Thermal paste from Spilling over on the CPU but also keeps the stock AM5 Retention bracket in place so you Don't actually need to buy a AM5 Secure Frame.
