Video Description
Object-Oriented Programming, a lecture by Daniel Ingalls. This video was recorded in July, 1989. From University Video Communications' catalog: "Complex systems are hard to build with conventional programming languages. Object-oriented programming is an approach in which software organization corresponds closely to the system being simulated. When one supplants conventional procedure calls with the more general mechanism of sending messages, it greatly enhances the flexibility and reusability of software components. At the end of the lecture, David Ungar, a professor at Stanford University, joins Dan Ingalls in a discussion on object-oriented programming." Lot number: X6636.2013 Catalog number: 102741370
