Patagonia Workwear - Is Hemp Better?

When I first heard Patagonia had a line of workwear, I was skeptical. Patagonia? I kind of thought they were the brand for hikers and hippies. It seemed an unlikely segment to get into, with Dickies and Carhartt dominating the workwear space. The other issue is price, there's a reason you don't see a lot of Filson on job sites or in factories: it's expensive and workers know their clothing will wear out quickly. It has been my experience that workwear is all about the balance of price and quality with people prizing durability and comfort over all. I will admit however that I used to incorporate a lot of my technical wear into rotation on the job.
