This new powertrain complements existing plug-in hybrid, full-electric, and fuel cell technologies within the brand’s growing electrified range. The Peugeot 3008 is available at a starting price of €30,227, with higher-end trims priced up to €49,995. The 48V HYBRID combines a 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine (136 hp) with a 6-speed dual-clutch electrified gearbox (e-DCS6) and a 21 kW electric motor. A 48V lithium-ion battery recharges during driving and supports partial electric propulsion and regenerative braking. In city conditions, the hybrid system allows both the 3008 and 5008 to operate in 100% electric mode for over 50% of the time. The electric motor also provides additional torque at low engine speeds for smooth acceleration and enhanced driving comfort. The 48V battery is positioned under the front left seat, preserving cabin and boot space while optimizing weight distribution and minimizing energy loss.
