Part Of The Flock Ep 3 - Survival Of The Fittest | Bird Photography on location. After months of filming Foxes in the Little Rann of Kutch, I visited the grasslands of Maharashtra to document a Fox den, that the locals, claimed to have eight puppies. Skeptical yet excited, I drove over five hours from home to film and photograph this unusually large litter. When feral dogs arrived, my chances of documenting the litter were close to none. My luck changed when I stumbled upon a pair of nesting Short-Toed Snake Eagles. Watch the entire episode to see what it takes for these Eagles to survive and raise a young one, especially when the skies come along with territorial raptors. Thanks to Accord Equips for sending me the Canon 1DX II. All raptor footage was filmed in 4k 60fps. Still photographs were captured on both the Canon 1DX, as well as my Canon 5D IV using the 200-400mm f4l IS USM with the inbuilt 1.4x teleconverter. This episode was shot in Feb 2021 in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra.
