Photonic Integrated Circuits - Inside an Infinera 1.6Tb/s PIC module

Video Description

In this video, I take a closer look at some PIC modules sent in my bjenkins192 from Ebay. Unfortunately, one of them was empty, but the second one was full of interesting things. This module is likely capable of 1.6Tbps throughput, based on what's in the “PICS: From InP to GaN-based Solutions paper”, linked below. There’s a lot going on inside this second module. I’ve included some links to view the chips from inside this module over on the Silicon Pr0n website. I definitely don’t fully understand everything that’s going on inside this module, and my explanations are likely lacking. If you can help explain things further I’d certainly appreciate it!
