I went to Latvia’s capital to find out — and what I discovered surprised me A few weeks ago I visited Riga, the capital of Latvia to see for myself the quality of life in this little known city. What I found was a surprise. #riga is the capital of #latvia , a town of 600,000 with a mixed economy. I visited the old town, the Central Market, a poorer suburb as well as a major shopping centre. #riga is not the first place people think of when talking about quality of life in #europe . Yet walking its streets, parks and markets, I was struck by how calm, orderly and contented everyday life seems here.
