While it felt serene, the entry foyer—home to the dining room, home office, and powder room—needed a stronger sense of arrival. In this full walkthrough, I’m sharing how we transformed a neutral entry into a moody, modern, and sophisticated first impression using architectural repetition, color drenching, and layered materials—without overwhelming the rest of the home. We repeated this curved language in the dining room entry, custom built-ins, and detailing to create a subtle vault-like effect—a quiet drama that pulls you through the space. We leaned into deeper tones already present in the home, like the charcoal stone fireplace, and layered in: • Roman clay finishes • Weathered oak • Brick-look tile • Sculptural lighting • Warm metals and soft textiles The result is moody, intentional, and timeless—impactful without overpowering. SPACE BREAKDOWN Dining Room Roman clay walls in a slate tone add texture and depth. A soft oval marble table balances the darker walls, while brushed brass lighting introduces warmth and glow. Home Office Designed to feel elevated and masculine (without feeling heavy), this space features charcoal built-ins, soft oak accents, layered textiles, and a bold ceiling wallpaper that creates a true wow moment.
