1953 Rock Hauler Restoration "Tournarocker" - Nylint

Video Description

I bought this Tournarocker on Ebay for just under $50 USD. I thought it would make for a good restoration video. From the research I have done, it looks like this is from 1953 and it is the third version of five of these. I think this toy restoration turned out pretty sweet, but what do you think? As seen in the restoration video I dismantled the toy and and then removed the rust by sandblasting and rust remover. The axles, hitch and some other small components were hot blued. Hot bluing is the process of heating up steel and quenching it in oil. It helps to prevent rust and also gives it a nice bluish/black finish. Jb weld was used to fill some of the pitting due to its ability to withstand high temperature when powder coating. I used powder coat to paint the main parts and it is durable. The new motor, muffler and decals were bought online and the other few parts were bought local.
