In Harvest 2025 Service Calls 4, it’s another packed round of field and shop repairs during one of the busiest times of the year. The day kicks off with a John Deere S660 throwing a fuel dosing inlet pressure fault. Then it’s on to a 9360R with a leaking radiator and an X9 1100 with a bad unloading auger latch assembly. Next up, an S780 in the field develops strange electrical issues traced to bad grounds and a software glitch. An S680 rolls in with a shredded chopper jackshaft belt, a leaking grain saver door, and a PowerCast tailboard that’s not spreading wide enough. Even my service truck gives me trouble when a dead battery shuts me down mid-day — but a quick battery replacement gets me back to work. Back at the shop, I take on an 8RX 410 with a bad front track, requiring a new track and idler rotation. Then it’s time for the big job — swapping the 9360R radiator, where my Stellar T-Max service truck and crane prove their worth. The episode wraps up with an S780 needing a separator clutch and transmission, and an X9 1000 that keeps randomly dying in the field with no clear cause… yet.
