For one, the camera has improved over last year's model, so the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra offers more natural results with Scene Optimiser switched off. That's on top of the improved zoom between 5-10x, which now boasts upgraded clarity and tone. Then there's the battery life, which is again superb - and ever so slightly better on the Samsung S24 Ultra vs the S23 from 2023. Sadly those charging speeds haven't improved. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is more powerful, but this doesn't always translate to better performance. And indeed, on Genshin Impact, the S24 Ultra occasionally stumbles. I'll keep on testing the gaming, camera and other bits for my full review of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but that's my thoughts after almost a week and how it compares to the original almighty smartphone.
