Amusement parks, a state-of-the-art stadium, a district dedicated to e-sports... The city of Qiddiya is set to offer every imaginable change of scenery. The vision of Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince, Mohammed Ben Salmane or MBS, is for this new city to become the country's tourism showcase. It is one of the key elements of MBS's Vision 2030 plan to diversify Saudi Arabia's economy away from its dependence on oil. This ambitious plan, financed to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars, has led to the construction of numerous worksites throughout the country. While some projects are well underway, others are in turmoil. This is particularly true of Neom, the futuristic region that is to house The Line, which is sinking further and further into crisis, as we'll see at the end of the video.
