Seattle has been quietly building light rail extensions like crazy over the last few years, and this month, one of them just opened for revenue service! The 7.8 mile Federal Way extension south of Seattle adds 3 new stops to the line, and is just the latest extension. Seattle is not done however! We will also discuss the Cross-Lake connection opening connecting Bellevue's 2-line to Seattle's 1-line which will open early in 2026, as well as new BRT lines coming in 2028.
