This beekeeping bill proposed by the state of New York will limit your beekeeping methods, force treatments, and will cause more harm than good. Bill 7568 is currently in the assembly in the state of New York and once again we are faced with the question does the government know more about beekeeping than us? I say no, almost all of us got into beekeeping for the benefit of the bees and we obviously want what's best for the bees. Every beekeeper wants their bees to be healthy and prosperous and we all take steps to ensure our management styles reflect this. With the government stepping in and mandating treatments our methods will be limited to what the government deems appropriate. The time is now to act and protect your bees and beekeeping practices!
