This is my Sony A7R mark 1 Review in 2026. Today I am looking back at the Sony a7r mark 1, also known as the a7r i or a7r 1. It was a higher megapixel version of the original Sony a7, which was released in 2013. So how good is it today? This is the older version of the A7R ii which had 4k video, and now the newest full frame mirrorless camera is the a7r v. But the a7r mark 1 is a good full frame budget camera in 2026, because of the high megapixel count and larger sensor compared to APS-C. However it is not meant for youtube or for taking high quality video. This is a photography camera. The a7r in 2026. So if you are a beginner photographer and you need a full frame camera that can support different lenses, then this might be the best option! You can put on different lenses with the e mount. For example a wide angle lens, travel lens, prime lens, anamorphic or telephoto lens. I will give a review and talk about why this is a great budget full frame option. Is this better than a phone?
