What began as piles of trash, erosion problems, and structural fixes turned into weekends of learning: clearing land, installing a French drain, leveling the building, repairing siding, framing windows, running electrical with my dad, insulating, paneling, painting, building a small deck, and designing a usable kitchen space. Progress was rarely fast, often messy, and sometimes humbling, but each step brought the place closer to something I could call home.
