Welcome to Jerry's Cornish kitchen. After having been in the catering industry for over thirty years, in which I have been head chef in many places including my own businesses, I am now living and working as a gardener in my home county of Cornwall. Steak and Kidney Pie with a suet crust pastry #thebest #classicrecipes #cornish #comfortfood #pubclassic Steak and kidney filling: 800g Beef shin, diced 350g Beef kidney, (ox kidney), diced 1 large white onion, diced 1 heaped tsp tomato puree 1 tsp dried mixed herbs 2 bay leaves 2 tsp Demerara sugar 3 tsp corn flour, ( mixed with a little cold water) 300ml Cornish ale 1 1/2 beef stock cubes mixed with 300ml boiling water Suet crust pastry: 350g Self raising flour 175g Beef suet 1/2 tsp baking powder salt and pepper Enough cold water to bring it together Cook in pre-heated oven 180 Centigrade 160 Fan oven 350 Fahrenheit Gas mark 4 Cook for 35-45 mins or until nicely browned Free Music for Videos 👉 Music by Sebastian McQueen - Come with us - https://thmatc.co/?l=76FC8AAB
