We head into the high desert to overland with Jeeps, Toyotas, and even a Lexus to two of my favorite camping areas in Eastern Oregon. This trip brought all of us closer together as we experienced some of the best of what Oregon has to offer. NOTE: It is questionable whether or not it's OK to cross the river where we did. This part of the river has been designated "Wild and Scenic." Even though vehicular crossings are practiced, common, and clearly marked, anyone attempting to cross may be ticketed by BLM.
