The music, television, technology, and how one photographer in particular almost single handedly changed our concept of ‘ideal’ masculinity. And we witness how the rise of the female Supermodels in the late 80’s and early 90’s paved the way for male Supermodels. The blossoming of gym culture in the early ’80s meant middle American manhood was primed for self improvement, by the 90’s we were putting in work to get those six packs and ‘guns’.
