Sweden’s prime minister called the February 4, 2025, incident the country’s “worst mass shooting”. Authorities said the damage at the crime scene was so extensive that investigators were not yet able to give a conclusive final death toll. The school serves students over the age of 20, providing primary and upper secondary school courses, as well as Swedish language classes for immigrants and vocational training for people with intellectual disabilities. Authorities said they had not yet found any link to terrorism and they believed the gunman acted alone.
