While both of these consoles are great in their handheld formfactor and docked, they are very different when it comes to performance, compatibility with other games, and of course the game prices as well. The Steam Deck is a pc handheld running SteamOS with an open ecosystem that runs other game launchers and can be setup to remote play ps5 and xbox, where tweaking settings for game performance is much more necessary on the Deck. The Switch 2 on the other hand is a closed off system that runs it’s own native games and hardware to the best of it’s ability for a smooth plug and play experience. Both have their pros and cons, so let’s talk about it!
