The Targa 41 is the FIRST New Targa model in 7 years… but has it been worth the wait? In this exclusive in-depth review, Jack Haines takes the Targa 41 wave hunting to test its credentials and see if it lives up to the fearsome Targa name. This is a more modern take on the Targa formula with slicker looks, more modern materials and - for the first time ever - a hull window. The layout is familiar, however. The Targa 41 comes as standard with the flybridge, aft door and Comfort Fore Cabin and its walkaround arrangement is pure Targa. Deck storage is excellent and it’s a straightforward boat to move around on and crew. Inside there is the usual onslaught of teak but the secondary materials are more contemporary and the use of glass is improved, with three big hatches in the ceiling above the helm. The cabins and bathrooms are split fore and aft with the option to drop the dinette and create an occasional double berth, so sleeping 7 adults on board is possible. The 41 is available with sterndrives and IPS and will hit a top speed of around 40 knots, cruising at 30 knots for approximately 300nm.
