The Always Ready Preview - Unit 14: Proclaiming God's Word

Unit 14: The power of an "encouraging word," especially when that word is a summary of God's Good News through his Word (Acts 13:13-44). This week, we return to Paul and his companions, who have begun their first missionary journey. In this passage, Paul is invited to speak in the synagogue. Beginning with the Old Testament, Paul highlights significant markers (events, peoples, and prophecies) that led to Jesus, the fulfillment of God's plan. Of course, he concludes with a summary of the required response for the forgiveness of sins through Jesus: belief. The lesson is in the power of sharing God's one-story plan with others. The people wanted to know more and had questions, and those who believed came to the Lord. May that be the result of our sharing an "encouraging word."
