In this episode we'll be talking about Elizabethan plastering with Master Plasterer Philip Gaches! You might be used to the bland and lifeless white walls of apartment buildings and tract homes. But there are still craftsmen who can enhance these dull, flat surfaces with a multitude of beautiful rosettes, moldings, friezes, and more! I had the privilege of meeting Philip at one of his favorite projects, a manor house in the Cotswolds with origins dating back to the 12th century! He also invited me to witness a brand new Elizabethan-style ceiling being created at a private home in Sandwich, England.
