After producing movies like Death Wish, Dune, and Conan the Barbarian, Dino formed his own film studio - De Laurentiis Entertainment Group (DEG), which built one of the biggest studio facilities outside of Hollywood and produced a series of high profile films. But Dino's lack of business sense and lavish production style proved to be a liability, as his lofty ambitions of building an independent studio to compete in the major leagues would come crumbling down.
