#history #disaster #documentary The DUKW began its life as a means to overcome a difficult problem in war. Moving troops and supplies from ship to shore and beyond. It was an ingenious invention and served its purpose admirably. But following the war, it was bought up and used for a very different purpose, tours and entertainment. Modified, changed, and aged, the DUKW began to show that perhaps it was more well suited for the battlefields than the local waterways. A lesson learned several times over in blood.
