The future of Kia's EV plans // From wild to mild, you choose!

This is a Motormouth couple car video covering all the announcements from the 2024 CES in Las Vegas. Kia had an entire connected home build on-site with a Kia EV9 capable of powering the house, plus an EV6 showing the vehicle to load capabilities of todays modern electric cars. Kia is pushing the boundaries with design and sustainability; they have two award winning models already the EV6 and EV9 and they just unveiled two concept electric vehicles the EV3 and EV4 at a Kia connected house built for CES. We are not able to get inside these vehicles as they are concepts but take a look at the exterior. Specs on these models have not been released. The exhibit features a futuristic Kia connected home which showcases the Concepts along with EV6 and EV9 production models. There’s also an EV9 driving technology simulation, a 10 must-have sustainable items exhibition, Vehicle-to-Home power supply and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) camping demonstration in real life scenarios. The EV9 has the capability of supporting vehicle to home backup power in some scenarios. The vision for EV9's vehicle to home capability is to deliver power back to the home when plugged in and a power outage occurs. For properly equipped homes the EV9 can reverse its energy flow from the vehicle to your home powering a variety of devices and appliances. Kia also unveils five new purpose built vehicles.These customized vehicles and solutions will enhance versatility and open up limitless possibilities for businesses and individuals. Imagine a taxi during the day to a delivery van at night and a personal recreational vehicle on the weekends. This will all be possible and rolled out in three phases with phase one seeing the introduction of the Kia PV5. A versatile EV optimized for ride hailing, delivery and utilities that features conversion capability. This all-new FWD modular vehicle will enter mass production in 2025 in Korea and should hit North America by 2026. It will have an estimated starting price of $35,000 USD. The second phase will launch the PV7 in 2027, it will have a FWD and AWD option and will be larger, offer more range and interior space than the PV5. This phase also launches the PV1, the smallest vehicle in the lineup optimized for short distances. The third phase opens the door to completely new lifestyles by creating a PBV ecosystem based on the Hyundai Motor Goups future technologies for autonomous driving, advanced air mobility, robotics and the energy grid. This is the stage where you can completely change your vehicle to meet your different needs from day to night. Kia says it's primary mission is to ensure that the PBVs are simple and intuitive to operate. The exhibition at CES has the theme 'Place of Inspiration'. It highlights multiple applications and benefits of Kia’s PBV technology. The display features five PBV concept vehicles including three variations of the Concepts PV5, PV7 and PV1.
