@ralfvandenbor is not only the maker of my handpans and founder of @AyasaInstruments but also one of my closest friends. Throughout the past 9 years we’ve been shaping this friendship through honest and clear conversations, many shared moments of joy and laughter and also through confrontation and conflicts. There’s barely another person that I have such deep connection with. And barely another person that impacted my life on such a profound level - his handpans accompany me since 2016 and helped me reach the point that I am at now. Some years ago Ralf discovered a new passion - the piano. He’s so dedicatedly diving into this instrument and it’s astonishing to see his commitment. Night by night he sits all alone on this instruments and his approach to playing piano is the very same that I have to handpan playing - expressing what is there.
